This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Director of Construction to lead the development, planning, and execution of EV charging infrastructure projects for a leading company in the EV Charging sector. The company focuses on delivering Level 2 and Level 3 charging solutions to support the expansion of sustainable transportation networks across North America.
 
As the Director of Construction, you will oversee all aspects of construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with the highest quality and safety standards. You will manage cross-functional teams, work closely with engineering and project management teams, and collaborate with contractors and local authorities to ensure seamless execution of projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement construction strategies for EV charging infrastructure projects.
• Oversee all phases of construction, focusing on the installation of Level 2 and Level 3 chargers.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Lead cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to deliver high-quality results.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across construction sites.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement in construction processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
• Provide regular updates and actionable insights to the executive team on project progress and challenges.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to construction timelines and costs.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in EV infrastructure development.

 
Qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in construction management, with a strong focus on EV charging infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-site construction projects.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and external contractors.
• In-depth knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to oversee project sites.

 
Preferred:

• Experience with Level 2 and Level 3 EV charger installations.
• Familiarity with grid interconnections and utility coordination.
• MBA or advanced degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
