💰 Compensation: $140K–$175K Base Salary + Uncapped Bonus (based on profitability).
We’re partnered with a rapidly scaling manufacturer specializing in zero-emission transit and shuttle vehicles. With a focus on innovation, compliance, and sustainability, they serve public agencies, transit operators, and large-scale fleet buyers across North America.
They’re looking to hire a Sales Manager to lead transit vehicle sales across the Eastern U.S.—owning relationships with transit agencies, fleet operators, dealers, and mobility service providers.
This is a high-impact, strategic sales role ideal for someone with a strong network in the public transit sector and experience selling into regulated, spec-driven environments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
🚍 Transit Vehicle Sales – Manage the full sales cycle for electric buses and shuttle vehicles with public transit agencies, fleets, and regional mobility partners.
🏛 Public Sector Engagement – Navigate government-funded procurement processes including RFPs, IFBs, and grant-aligned sales (Low-No, FTA, state incentives).
🔗 Dealer Channel Management – Grow and support a dealer/distributor network for transit and shuttle vehicle sales; coordinate product knowledge, pricing, and bid support.
📈 Territory Expansion – Identify and close new transit and fleet vehicle sales opportunities across municipal, regional, and institutional buyers.
🛫 Field-Based Sales – Represent the brand at industry events, tradeshows, transit authority meetings, and onsite demos; heavy domestic travel required.
🧩 Internal Collaboration – Work cross-functionally with technical, compliance, and operations teams to align on spec requirements and vehicle delivery.
REQUIREMENTS:
✅ Transit Sales Experience – Must have experience selling full vehicles (cutaway, shuttle, or low-floor buses) into public transit agencies or fleet operators.
✅ Public Procurement Fluency – Strong understanding of the transit buying cycle, including bid processes, grant-funded sales, and agency specifications.
✅ Dealer/Distributor Experience – Proven success working with or through dealer networks to sell commercial or transit vehicles.
✅ Sales Closer – Individual contributor with a strong personal pipeline and a track record of independently closing deals.
✅ Travel-Ready – U.S.-based (East Coast preferred) and open to frequent travel across the territory.
