I am currently collaborating with a Smart Grid/AMI company that specializes in helping utilities manage/track their data and demand. This is a urgent position as they are in aggressive growth mode and are looking to add to the sales team.
I am looking for a regional sales manager to help drive growth in the western region.
As a Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for creating and implementing the regional sales strategy for all solutions within the assigned territory, focusing on IOUs, Public Power, and Cooperative utilities. The RSM will strengthen market presence by fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, meeting or exceeding regional revenue and order targets, and providing market insights to support both immediate goals and long-term strategic planning aligned with company objectives.
This position pays 130K-150K on the base with expected 2X OTE earnings.
Responsibilities:
- Surpassing assigned sales and revenue targets for solutions.
- Creating and implementing a strategic regional plan to expand market presence, increase orders and revenue, and grow the customer base within the designated territory
- Travel throughout the region to proactively build relationships with partners
- Collaborating with key internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in selling complex solutions with long sales cycles and RFP-based processes
- Utility industry experience with a focus on AMR/AMI, renewables or other smart grid applications
- Established strong relationships across the Western region with Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), municipalities, and public and cooperative power companies
- In-depth knowledge of the Distribution Utility industry
