⚡ Senior Project Development Manager

🌎 Hybrid – Houston, TX or Overland Park, KS

💰 $140 – 150k base + 30% annual bonus

Role Overview:
The Senior Manager of Development leads wind and solar project development from initial identification to construction and financial closing. This role also involves contributing to strategic decisions regarding the project pipeline and assessing potential acquisitions. The Senior Manager may oversee development staff, providing leadership and training, with a primary focus on projects in key markets such as ERCOT, SPP, and MISO.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the transition of projects from development to construction, including managing project budgets and contracts.
• Hire and supervise third-party consultants for land, environmental, permitting, and legal tasks.
• Secure land rights and manage local, state, and federal permitting processes for wind and solar projects.
• Oversee project proposals, power purchase agreements, and identify potential projects and acquisitions.
• Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and community leaders, while supporting policy outreach efforts.
• Supervise development staff, provide training, and collaborate on team development needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred 
• 3-5 years of project management/development experience in the energy industry
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Travel: Up to 65%
