Sr. Controls Programmer, Microgrids

Their products include sophisticated control systems that automate and optimize utility operations. This means they develop software and hardware that control everything from energy distribution networks to water treatment plants. They use technologies like IoT, AI, and data analytics to make these systems smarter and more efficient.
The primary duties of the Sr. Programmer are to work with Systems Engineering and Manufacturing teams to design programs, subroutines, function blocks, and firmware for the automation of UIG power and monitoring equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications and drawings with the design team, identifying similar past projects.
- Create detailed and accurate product and programming designs for both internal and customer use.
- Generate programming files for control and communication devices relevant to a project.
- Ensure adherence to schedules and milestones.
- Review and verify programs before manufacturing release.
- Work with Systems Engineering and SCADA and Controls Engineering for testing programs and files, IO checks and troubleshooting of electrical issues
Qualifications:
- 5 + years of expertise in TIA Portal, Plc programming, and SCADA
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field from an Accredited University
- Experience with automation experience
- Experience with SQL
- US Citizen
