VP of Business Development
Partnered with a revolutionary company that integrates cutting-edge mechanics, software, electronics, and high-voltage electricity to provide a seamless charging experience – inductive charging.
They’re looking for an experienced business development professional to join their California office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deeply understand our solution and relevant markets to uncover growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales and delivery strategies aligned with our business objectives and go-to-market plans.
- Utilize knowledge of California and federal EV mandates and incentives to drive commercial success.
- Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities, closing deals to drive revenue growth.
- Open new verticals and develop innovative use cases to expand our offerings.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships and consultant relationships.
- Analyze market feedback to inform strategic product decisions.
- Oversee complex business engagements from initiation to closure.
- Lead and support responses to RFI, RFQ, and RFP opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to partners globally on business and technology matters.
- Collaborate with Presales and Professional Services teams to ensure successful onboarding and implementation.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing ongoing support.
- Work with both existing and new customers to scale commercial opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2G or B2B sales or business development.
- Proven success in closing business deals and growing partner ecosystems.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment, particularly in the mobility or EV sectors.
- Background in dealing with EV-related issues at ports, airports, or transit systems.
- Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex business engagements from start to finish.
- Strong experience in developing high-value relationships with executive-level partners and customers.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Strong understanding of California’s EV mandates and incentive programs is an advantage.
- Technical or engineering background is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
