⚡ Position Summary:
Lead and scale the Design & Engineering function to deliver optimized, buildable data center design packages across multiple regions. You’ll translate campus strategy into standards, own technical risk reviews, manage design partners, and drive cost, schedule, and operational efficiency from concept through close-out.
⚡ Key Responsibilities:
• Produce and QA complete data center design packages (Concept → IFC → As-builts)
• Own Div01 narratives, specs, one-lines, and drawing milestone control
• Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, value engineering, and RFI resolution
• Manage external design partners (A/E, MEP, Controls, Security, Telecom) and procurement support for OFCI/CFCI
• Build and mentor a high-performing design team; enforce standards and lessons-learned processes
• Integrate design strategy with development, construction, operations, and sales
• Track design budgets, invoices, change control, and deliver executive-level status/risk reports
• Participate in site visits, commissioning support, and project close-out deliverables
⚡ Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 8+ years in mission-critical facility design/engineering; 5+ years in leadership or PM roles
• Data center experience (colocation or hyperscale) and familiarity with constructability/permitting
• Experience with Revit/BIM, Navisworks, MS Project, Procore and OFCI/CFCI specs
• Strong communicator able to present technical issues to executives and cross-functional teams
• PE / chartered status preferred
• Willingness to travel regionally (up to ~25%)
