With a robust portfolio of cutting-edge Smart Grid and Smart Metering technologies already deployed internationally, the business is now focused on accelerating growth throughout North America.
They are seeking a commercially driven Business Development leader to drive strategic growth across North America within the Smart Grid and Smart Metering space for electricity utilities. This opportunity is ideal for a senior sales/business development professional with deep experience in AMI, utility technology, or grid modernization solutions who understands how to navigate utility sales cycles and influence executive stakeholders across investor-owned utilities, municipalities, and energy providers.
About the Business
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with both US leadership and the broader Energy Business Line team in France, helping deliver customized solutions that support utilities in modernization, efficiency, and grid intelligence initiatives.
The Role
This is a strategic growth-focused position. You will:
- Drive business development efforts across North America within Smart Grid and Smart Metering markets
- Identify, develop, and qualify new opportunities with existing and prospective utility customers
- Build and execute strategic sales plans aligned with quarterly revenue targets and long-term growth goals
- Build multi-level relationships across utility organizations including executive and operational stakeholders
Ideal Background
We are looking for someone with:
- 5–10+ years of successful sales/business development experience within energy or utility markets
- Direct experience selling Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions
- Strong knowledge of Smart Grid, Smart Metering, Grid Modernization, or Utility Technology
- Existing relationships across Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), Municipal Utilities, or Cooperatives
- Demonstrated ability to build pipeline and close complex enterprise/utility sales opportunities
Location
Remote, North America-based. Travel up to 30% required for customer meetings, conferences, and internal collaboration.
