The Role
A senior Futures Trader is critical in developing and executing trading strategies across electricity and futures markets. This role exists now to enhance trading performance through advanced data-driven techniques and market analysis. You’ll own key trading decisions, work closely with quant, risk, and execution teams, and provide strategic insights to maximize results and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine trading strategies using quantitative models and market data
• Execute trades and monitor market movements in real-time to capitalize on opportunities
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to improve models and analytics
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Track market trends and regulatory changes impacting trading operations

Requirements / Who We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience with data analysis, quantitative modeling, or data science in trading or finance
• Proven ability to develop and implement trading strategies in energy or commodities markets
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to data analysis and trading (e.g., Python, R)
• Solid understanding of futures markets, electricity markets, and market dynamics
• Hands-on experience with risk management and trade execution systems
• Familiarity with market regulations and compliance standards
