A high-growth energy infrastructure startup is looking for an experienced strategic leader to guide its long-term vision and market positioning. This senior role is critical for developing a comprehensive outlook on global power markets, translating complex market dynamics into actionable business strategies and forging strategic partnerships. The Head of Strategy will work across functions—trading, development, finance—and will be entrusted with identifying new opportunities, structuring deals, and representing the company to external stakeholders in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

This role is vital now to accelerate growth and expand market reach, offering significant ownership of high-impact initiatives. You will report directly to the executive leadership team, shaping the company’s future trajectory with autonomy and influence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine the company’s long-term strategic outlook on global power markets, focusing on demand trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging asset classes
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new market opportunities, including geographic expansion and innovative asset or business models
  • Source and negotiate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategic initiatives with operational realities
  • Partner with leadership on capital allocation and growth strategies
  • Represent the company externally to potential partners, regulators, and industry bodies
  • Translate complex market insights into actionable growth plans with measurable outcomes

Requirements / Who We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years in strategy, business development, or related roles within power markets, energy infrastructure, or adjacent commodities
  • In-depth knowledge of power market structures, generation, storage, and load dynamics
  • Proven success in sourcing and closing complex commercial deals and strategic alliances
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate and defend strategic hypotheses
  • Comfortable operating independently in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
