Senior Sales Engineer — Industrial Energy & Sustainability (Remote)
About the role
A privately retained client is seeking a senior Solution Sales Executive to lead commercial growth in industrial and manufacturing accounts. This role focuses on selling integrated engineering and sustainability offerings — including energy efficiency upgrades, on-site generation and storage, operational improvements, and performance analytics — that deliver measurable cost savings and emissions reductions. The position is remote with regular travel to customer sites.
What you’ll do
- Source and develop new business opportunities with mid-to-large manufacturing and industrial organizations.
- Lead consultative sales cycles from discovery through contract negotiation and hand-off to delivery teams.
- Work closely with engineers, data analysts, and project managers to create tailored proposals and financial models that demonstrate clear ROI.
- Build trusted relationships with plant leadership, facilities teams, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Maintain pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting in CRM and support cross-functional coordination for seamless project delivery.
- Represent the company at industry events and customer workshops.
Who we’re looking for
- Proven seller with 7+ years in technical, solution-oriented sales to industrial or commercial customers.
- Experience selling projects or services related to energy efficiency, process improvements, renewables, microgrids, or sustainability reporting preferred.
- Strong financial literacy; able to convert technical performance into compelling business cases.
- Excellent communicator and presenter, comfortable engaging executives and technical audiences alike.
- Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple concurrent opportunities across a regional or national territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sustainability, or related discipline; advanced degree a plus.
