⚡ Company Overview:

A pioneering advanced nuclear technology company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of growth, technical development, and commercialization.

Working directly alongside the CEO and executive leadership team, the CTO will play a critical role in shaping technology strategy, scaling the organization, and driving the successful transition of advanced nuclear technologies from development programs to commercial deployment.

 

⚡ Position Summary:

The CTO will provide executive leadership across a complex, multidisciplinary organization operating at the intersection of advanced nuclear technology, engineering innovation, and commercialization. This individual will be responsible for aligning technical teams, driving organizational performance, overseeing execution against budget and schedule, and ensuring the company remains positioned for long-term commercial success.

The successful candidate will combine exceptional technical credibility with proven experience leading large organizations through both technology development and commercialization in highly regulated environments.

 

⚡ Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company’s long-term technology and product strategy

• Lead and align engineering, scientific, product, and operational teams across multiple technical disciplines

• Scale a world-class organization capable of delivering advanced nuclear technologies to market

• Drive execution against technical milestones, budget, schedule, and commercialization objectives

• Oversee environmental, health, safety, quality, and technical governance functions

• Partner closely with the CEO, Board, and leadership team on strategic planning and organizational growth

• Ensure alignment between technology development, deployment planning, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives

• Represent the company with investors, customers, regulators, and strategic partners

 

⚡ Required Qualifications:

• Significant executive leadership experience within nuclear energy, advanced energy, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering sectors

• Proven success leading large multidisciplinary engineering and scientific organizations through periods of growth and scale

• Experience delivering complex technology programs from research and development through commercialization and deployment

• Strong technical credibility with the ability to influence and lead world-class engineers, scientists, and technical specialists

• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, allocating resources, and delivering against demanding schedules and strategic objectives

• Deep understanding of safety-critical environments, regulatory discipline, governance, and quality systems

 

Preferred:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering, Science, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline

• MBA or equivalent business qualification

• Nuclear industry experience, including exposure to reactor technologies, licensing environments, nuclear operations, or advanced energy systems

• Familiarity with regulatory engagement, manufacturability, constructability, supply chain strategy, deployment planning, and commercialization pathways

• Experience balancing cutting-edge innovation with practical commercial delivery
