A leading provider of critical power, emergency lighting inverter, and energy storage solutions supporting mission-critical infrastructure applications across North America is seeking a Director, Product Engineering to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for the development of next-generation power conversion, backup power, and energy storage products. 

⚡Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical, Mechanical, and Sustaining Engineering teams supporting critical power and energy storage product lines
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute product roadmaps, technical strategy, and product requirements
• Drive the design, development, and launch of innovative power electronics products, including inverter, UPS, and battery energy storage technologies
• Establish engineering standards, design processes, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across product development programs
• Oversee NPI activities from concept, prototyping, validation, and certification through production launch
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering leaders and technical contributors

🎯Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in power electronics or power conversion product development
• 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Deep expertise in DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC power conversion systems
• Strong understanding of power electronics architectures, magnetics, and converter design
• Experience developing products within UPS, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), renewable energy, EV charging, or related power infrastructure markets
• Proven track record leading products from concept through commercial launch
• Familiarity with UL certification processes and industry standards such as UL9540, UL1741, UL1973, UL1778, and UL924 is highly desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
