What You’ll Be Doing
As an Account Executive at Storm4, you’ll own key client relationships, focusing on:
- Strategic Account Management: Formulate and execute strategic plans for assigned key accounts, ensuring overall retention and identifying new growth opportunities. This includes managing your pipeline in Salesforce.com, forecasting, and achieving customer satisfaction goals.
- Business Development: Cultivate strong relationships with customer decision-makers to understand their needs and articulate Storm4’s value proposition. You’ll build and manage a pipeline of growth opportunities, converting them into new business awards and profitable revenue streams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, program management, and operations to ensure timely execution of customer requirements, from prototypes to production. You’ll also assist in formulating white paper proposals for new products and capabilities, preparing competitive assessments, costing, and ensuring NRE recovery.
- Market Insight & Planning: Support annual budget processes by providing revenue and booking forecasts, analyzing customer spend, and identifying major new customers or program expansions.
- Customer Focus: Provide premium customer service, demonstrating a high sense of ownership, urgency, and responsiveness in a fast-paced global environment with long sales cycles.
What You’ll Need
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering. A minimum of 5 years selling into the US Military is a requirement, with a preference for US Military veterans. You should have 10+ years of proven sales or business development success with highly custom product lines that involve long design-in and sales cycles. Experience in the power segment (battery, power supply, charger, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent project management, planning, and organizational abilities. A proven track record of building strong customer relationships and achieving sales success.
- Attributes: A high sense of ownership, urgency, responsiveness, and a strong customer focus. The ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Travel & Location: Willingness to travel between 25-50%. Preferred locations are Greater Washington, D.C. or Greater Chicago.
