    Role Overview:

    As Director of Pricing & Structuring, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial and contractual aspects of our business deals while working closely with the Director of Origination. Leveraging your expertise in complex deal pricing and structuring, you will develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and partners. You will be responsible for modeling and forecasting financial scenarios, ensuring the viability and profitability of proposed deals. Additionally, you will engage externally with wholesale banks, financial institutions to negotiate and structure bespoke Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) that align with our strategic objectives.
     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead PPA pricing function by collaborating with other key stakeholders such as Business Development, Finance, Transactions, Credit and Legal teams.
    • Lead the implementation of new pricing and structuring processes by enhancing current practices and further developing best practices.
    • Lead the pricing and structuring of bespoke deals as/when needed, utilizing various financial instruments and strategies such as VFA, Proxy Gen, Proxy Revenue Swap, Collars, etc.
    • Prepare detailed deal pricing and structuring memorandums describing the opportunity and characteristics of each deal proposal.
    • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, highlighting potential risks and formulating mitigation strategies
    • Oversee all aspects of PPA/VPPA pricing and structuring in terms of risk assessment, transaction returns/economics, and pricing process due diligence.
    • Lead the financial and economic aspects of renewable proposals (pricing, structuring, T&Cs)
    • Develop detailed models and forecasts to support deal proposals and ensure financial viability.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to tailor deal structures to meet specific client needs.
    • Engage with wholesale counterparts to negotiate and finalize bespoke PPAs.
    • Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory developments to inform deal structuring decisions.
    • Drive continuous improvement in deal structuring processes and methodologies.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in complex deal pricing and structuring, with ideally 10+ years preferred.
    • Strong proficiency in complex deal pricing and structuring methodologies.
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and proposal development.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and respond to market dynamics and client needs.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
