    Job Description:

     

    As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the management of interconnection queues and associated projects, as well as overseeing T&D consulting initiatives. You will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders, identifying project requirements, and ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure development projects from conception to completion.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Lead project management activities for transmission and distribution consulting initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
    • Serve as the primary customer contact for interconnection queue management, capital projects, and T&D consulting projects, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
    • Resolve commercial and technical issues related to energy regulatory organizations (EROs), developers, and utility planning entities, ensuring project milestones are met.
    • Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, including goals, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management, in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from initial kick-off meetings to project completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
    • Manage proposal activities in response to customer specifications and requests for proposals (RFPs), leading presentations and offerings in various markets.
    • Lead the development and implementation of project management tools and software, supporting forecasting, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
    • Provide training and mentorship to team members on project management best practices and interconnection queue management.
    • Lead the development of papers and articles for publication in professional society journals and presentations at industry conferences.

     

    Education/Special Skills/Experience/Training:

     

    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience in power systems and project management.
    • Advanced knowledge of EROs, developers, and utility business planning processes, as well as regulatory compliance and industry standards.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of electric utility system interconnection and planning.
    • Strong organizational, presentation, communication, and technical writing skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office products, project management tools, and ERP/CRM systems.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • With our R&D department, work with the technical teams at our existing and potential customer base to fulfill product requirements, meet emerging needs and build partnerships for future growth.
