Position Summary
We are seeking highly motivated professionals for roles including FTR Traders, FTR Analysts, Virtual Traders, and Virtual Trading Analysts to join our dynamic trading team. These roles are instrumental in supporting and enhancing our trading strategies within RTO/ISO markets such as PJM, MISO, ERCOT, and SPP. Ideal candidates possess strong analytical skills, energy market expertise, and a desire to work at the intersection of data science and trading.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze and forecast transmission congestion patterns across RTOs/ISOs using proprietary and public data.

Support FTR and virtual trading strategy development and optimization through historical and real-time market analysis.

Collaborate with quantitative developers and data engineers to improve modeling tools and processes.

Conduct scenario analysis and backtesting of trading strategies and risk profiles.

Interpret auction results and identify key market signals and emerging trends.

Maintain and update power flow models, LMP forecasting tools, and network topology assumptions.

Communicate insights and findings clearly to senior traders and stakeholders.

Assist in ongoing process automation and trading operations support.
Qualifications
Required:

Degree in Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, Economics, Energy Systems, or a related quantitative discipline.

Experience in power markets, energy trading, or transmission modeling.

Understanding of FTR/CRR/TCC markets and ISO congestion management fundamentals.

Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or equivalent analytical tools.

Strong Excel and data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, Plotly).

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Preferred:

Experience working with market data from PJM, MISO, ERCOT, or SPP.

Familiarity with DC power flow, network modeling, and nodal pricing concepts.

Background in machine learning, optimization, or advanced statistical modeling.

Knowledge of auction clearing mechanisms and market settlement processes.
