Sales Manager – Energy Services (Eastern U.S.)
Storm4 is partnered with a leading renewable energy developer that specializes in behind-the-meter solar, energy storage, and distributed generation solutions. This company is rapidly expanding its footprint across the Eastern U.S. and is looking for a Sales Manager to drive new Energy Service Agreement (ESA) sales and develop key client relationships.
About the Role
As Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s project pipeline and executing market entry strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Development, Engineering, Legal, and Project Finance—you will craft compelling value propositions, negotiate energy contracts, and navigate evolving regulatory landscapes.

Location & Reporting
- Based in New York City or remote for the right candidate
- Reports to the Senior Director, Behind-the-Meter Sales
- Works closely with Development, Engineering, Legal, and Project Finance teams
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new customer acquisition for energy services across the Eastern U.S.
- Own and exceed sales volume targets for assigned markets
- Assess project financials and identify opportunities to enhance revenue or reduce costs
- Partner with internal teams to drive project development from origination to completion
- Track and evaluate regulatory developments and emerging incentive programs
- Build and maintain relationships with regional partners to support origination and project delivery
- Manage contract negotiations for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), ESAs, leases, and direct purchase deals
- Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and deal progress
- Analyze customer sustainability, resiliency, and capital investment goals to tailor solutions
- Work collaboratively across functions to maintain and accelerate deal velocity

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of direct energy services sales experience in the Eastern U.S. with a strong history of exceeding targets
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong ability to develop insights and craft compelling value propositions
- High energy, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Self-starter with experience managing multiple projects and stakeholder relationships
- Critical thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in solar or Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) is a plus
