Storm4

⚡ Role: Head of Compute Delivery

💼 Industry: Distributed Energy Infrastructure & AI Data Centres
🌎 Location: Texas (Flexible / Remote)
💰 Salary: Competitive Base + Equity

Storm4 has partnered with a venture-backed infrastructure platform building the next generation of distributed power and compute infrastructure across North America.

By colocating modular data centres with power generation assets, the company is creating a new category of energy-backed AI infrastructure. As it scales deployment across its growing portfolio, it is seeking a Head of Compute Delivery to build and lead the function responsible for delivering these projects from concept through commissioning.

The Role

The Head of Compute Delivery will own the development and deployment of modular data centre infrastructure across the company’s portfolio of distributed energy projects. As a key member of the leadership team, you will establish the processes, standards, and execution capability required to scale a new business line at the intersection of power, infrastructure, and AI.

This role exists to bridge project development, engineering, construction, and operations, ensuring world-class delivery of mission-critical compute facilities. You will coordinate internal and external stakeholders, manage complex infrastructure programmes, and build the organisation required to support rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the successful deployment of modular data centre and compute infrastructure projects from development through commissioning
  • Establish and implement the project execution strategy, delivery processes, and operational frameworks required to scale the compute business
  • Lead project schedules, budgets, risk management, procurement, and delivery standards across a growing portfolio of projects
  • Manage relationships with engineering firms, EPC contractors, equipment manufacturers, utilities, fibre providers, and site stakeholders
  • Oversee utility coordination, power interconnection, telecommunications infrastructure, and site readiness activities
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to shape deployment strategy, investment priorities, and market expansion plans
  • Build and lead a high-performing project delivery organisation as the platform scales
  • Act as the senior owner for project execution, ensuring assets are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience leading large-scale infrastructure, data centre, or mission-critical project delivery programmes
  • Demonstrated success managing projects from development through commissioning and operations
  • Strong understanding of power infrastructure, utility interconnection processes, site development, and critical facility requirements
  • Experience coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders across complex infrastructure programmes
  • Leadership experience building teams, processes, and operating structures within high-growth environments
  • Familiarity with modular data centres, AI infrastructure, fibre networks, or related sectors

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to build and lead an entirely new business function from the ground up
  • Direct exposure to executive leadership and key strategic decisions
  • Work at the convergence of distributed energy, power markets, AI infrastructure, and data centre development
  • Significant influence over deployment strategy, execution standards, and organisational growth
  • Meaningful long-term equity participation in a rapidly expanding market
