The Role
The company is looking for a Power Market Analyst to join its Americas Forecasting team. This individual will contribute to the development and delivery of market forecasts, producing revenue projections across multiple geographies and asset classes that are relied upon by organisations throughout the energy industry.
This is a highly technical, product-focused position operating at the intersection of:
- Power market modelling
- Energy analytics
- Data science
- Customer-facing product delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance power market and dispatch models, improving forecasting accuracy and analytical depth.
- Source, process, and analyse large, complex datasets used within forecasting and optimisation tools.
- Conduct rigorous quality assurance across published forecasts and client-facing deliverables.
- Develop market narratives around policy developments, regulatory changes, and structural trends in power markets.
- Work closely with product teams to ensure analytical outputs align with customer needs.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate modelling outputs into customer-facing products and platforms.
Requirements
Essential
- Degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, or similar.
- 3-5 years of experience analysing power markets or energy systems.
- Experience producing high-visibility analytical outputs for external stakeholders or customers.
- Strong background in power system modelling, power price forecasting, optimisation, dispatch modelling, or related market analysis.
- Knowledge of US power markets, renewable technologies, market design, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong Python skills, including experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
- Experience with optimisation techniques and linear programming.
- Exposure to cloud-based environments such as AWS.
- A proactive, builder mentality with an interest in leveraging AI to improve workflows and decision-making.
Desirable
- Energy storage or battery modelling experience.
- Knowledge of ISOs, RTOs, FERC markets, or capacity market design.
- Experience integrating analytical models into client-facing products or software platforms.

- Competitive base salary in the region of $110,000-$170,000, depending on experience.
