About the Role

A leading global developer, owner and operator of hyperscale data center infrastructure is seeking an SVP, Global Construction to lead construction strategy and execution across a rapidly expanding international portfolio.

This role is responsible for ensuring construction programs achieve the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule performance, delivery certainty, and cost competitiveness across multiple regions and customers.

The successful candidate will lead global construction teams, collaborate with executive stakeholders, and drive excellence in project delivery across multiple concurrent hyperscale developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the global data center delivery leadership team.
  • Lead construction delivery globally across multiple hyperscale data center projects.
  • Maintain accountability for project execution from inception through operational handover.
  • Oversee global preconstruction activities, including site due diligence, acquisition support, permitting strategy, and delivery planning.
  • Lead utility delivery from connection agreements through site energisation.
  • Maintain responsibility for global commissioning programs and successful customer handover.
  • Support development of the company’s long-term development pipeline and growth strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Procurement, Commercial, and Engineering leadership teams.
  • Establish and maintain global construction standards, governance processes, and performance metrics.
  • Lead, develop, and align regional construction leadership teams across multiple geographies.
  • Maintain executive oversight of safety, quality, cost, schedule, risk, and project performance.
  • Develop strategic relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, utilities, and key delivery partners.
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and repeatability across the construction platform.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience delivering hyperscale or mission-critical data center construction projects at scale.
  • Extensive experience building and leading global or multi-regional construction organizations.
  • Strong understanding of the global construction supply chain, contracting strategies, and data center delivery models.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale capital programs and multiple concurrent developments.
  • Deep understanding of utility infrastructure, commissioning, preconstruction, and operational turnover requirements.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to understand the impact of technical decisions on budget, schedule, and risk.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to mitigate risk and deliver predictable project outcomes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to challenge traditional approaches and develop innovative delivery solutions.
  • Proficiency with construction management systems, project controls, and portfolio reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
