You’ll work on real-world transmission and interconnection challenges while helping build the next generation of scalable transmission analytics tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform transmission power flow studies supporting major investment and development decisions.
- Lead and contribute to transmission and interconnection studies from analysis through delivery.
- Analyse grid constraints, transmission opportunities and evolving market conditions.
- Work with software and product teams to develop and improve transmission analytics tools.
- Deliver data-driven insights on the North American transmission system.
- Work directly with clients to solve complex transmission challenges.
- Present technical findings and recommendations through reports, presentations and client discussions.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in transmission power flow analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong foundational understanding of power systems and transmission networks.
- Experience with PSS®E, PSS®MUST, TARA, PSLF and/or PowerWorld is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in transmission, grid expansion and the energy transition.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a high level of ownership.
